Complete Guide & Itinerary

Close your eyes, and let your imagination run free.

Trees hundreds of years old, standing tall in a wild, snow-capped mountainous area. Right through it is a highway, a man-made road that takes your breath away the moment you see it.

The thrill you feel while driving in a Dacia or a Lamborghini is pretty much the same.

Sidenote: We might prefer the Lambo.

You can experience this right now by taking a tour of the most spectacular mountain road in the world, located in Romania: the Transfagarasan.

We sincerely invite you to join our tour for an unforgettable experience with spectacular scenery, from which you will leave feeling reborn.

– Bucharest: the capital and largest city of Romania, as well as its cultural, industrial, and financial center.

We advise you to explore the city for the remainder of the day; take in the fascinating architecture, gaze at the many attractions, and have dinner in the historic city center while sipping on a fine glass of wine.

-After an early breakfast, we are ready to hit the road!

– Bascov: the official starting point of the Transfagarasan Road

– Vidraru Lake and Dam: this man-made reservoir, held back by the famous Vidraru Dam, when completed, the dam was the fifth largest in Europe and the ninth largest in the world.

– Kayaking on Vidraru Lake: an activity suitable for all. It is an organized activity and includes all the necessary equipment.

– Transfagarasan road: is Romania’s most picturesque and well-known route, measuring more than 150 kilometers.

– Balea Lake: a glacier lake situated at 2,034m of altitude with crystal-clear and freezing water that is encircled by the Fagaras Mountains.

– Balea Falls: it’s 60m tall, making it the highest step waterfall in Romania.

– Cartisoara: a Transylvanian settlement having a history dating to the early Middle Ages, the first written record of which dates back to the year 1223.
